Colton girls slip past Genesee

Trailing 3-0 in the seventh inning, Colton delivered four runs to beat Genessee Monday night.

In a sparse day at the plate, the Wildcats managed six hits in the game – six different batters with one single. On the mound, Zoe Moser pitched the first three innings to allow two hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Winnie Schultheis then threw four innings to allow two hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

On Saturday, April 25, Colton traveled to LaCrosse where Schultheis threw a no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader sweep of LaCrosse-Washtucna-Kahlotus.

Moser almost had a no-hitter in the first game and Colton won both, 22-0 and 21-0.

Moser and Schultheis both delivered 12 strikeouts for the Wildcats (6-0 league, 13-2 overall).
