Garfield-Palouse dismisses Eagles, 68-26

The Garfield-Palouse football team traveled to St. John to play the S.J.E. Eagles last Friday and made quick work of the task.

Leading 40-0 at the end of the first quarter, the Vikings went on to win 68-26.

Gar-Pal quarterback Hunter Woltering only threw one pass in the second quarter (or later) – a touchdown to Ian Niebergs. From there the Vikings ran the ball and substituted in young players.

Woltering went 5 of 6 for 130 yards before phasing to the run.

Vikings’ senior running back Cole Sanderson was back from injury, picking up 154 yards rushing in the game.
