S.J.E.L.W. baseball team seeks hitting

The St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse-Washtucna baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Tri-Cities Prep April 26 to go to 0-6 in league (3-11 overall).

Playing at Pasco, the Eagles’ pitcher Jason Wigen followed a four-hitter from the week before against Dayton with a seven-hit, six-strikeout complete game. His team lost 6-1.

“Just no run support,” said fourth-year coach Kyle Schultheis. “We’re playing like the Mariners are.”

In the second game, Jimmy Hollingshead pitched for the Eagles, going all seven innings to allow seven hits with seven strikeouts.
