Whitman Hospital Auxiliary decorates Christmas trees

Whitman Hospital Auxiliary members are celebrating Christmas with two trees this year.

The auxiliary’s Angel Tree is on display next to the Blue Bird Gift Shop in the waiting room at the hospital entrance. Bright white angels decorate the tree that is reserved for donations in memory or to honor loved ones. Any contribution amount is welcome and proceeds go to the hospital auxiliary.

The auxiliary also is offering a fully decorated Christmas tree as a fundraiser. Auxiliary members Rayanna DeFord, Shelly McMasters and Diane Clark decorated the “On the Palouse” tree which features deer, local wheat, lentils and peas along with lights and other decorations. Raffle tickets, available at the hospital gift shop, are $2 each and the ticket drawing for the tree will be Dec. 13. Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales also go to the auxiliary.

The Blue Bird Gift Shop is having a Holiday Open House on Monday, Nov. 25.

All donations go back to the hospital for equipment, supplies and scholarships.

Donations can be mailed to Whitman Hospital Auxiliary, 1200 W. Fairview, Colfax, WA 99111. Include the names of people who should be listed on an angel and who the donor is. Donations also can be made in person at the front desk of the hospital or at the gift shop.
