Strong start for second year

Stillman College sophomore quarterback Josh Straughan earned a Notable Game Performance award from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this week after leading his team to a 27-6 win over Clark Atlanta University Sept. 14. Straughan, a member of Colton High School’s class of 2012, went 20 of 32 attempts passing for 312 yards in the win. After two games in the 2013 season, Straughan leads SIAC quarterbacks with 518 yards passing and a 65 percent completion rate. His team is 2-0 on the year.
