Colfax, Northwest Christian teams will both seek first win

After sustaining a 38-0 shutout in their season opener at Asotin last Friday, the Colfax Bulldogs will open their home season by hosting the brand new NWC Crusaders football team at Schmuck Park.

The Crusaders will arrive at Colfax after sustaining a 44-7 loss to the Liberty Lancers at Mead. Lone score on the launch came on a kickoff return. That and an extra point kick put them on top 7-6 before the Lancers scored the next six touchdowns.

“It’s going to be an interesting game,” Colfax Coach Mike Morgan commented. “Two inexperienced teams will be trying to get a win.”
