Sagers attend grand’s recital

Art and Colene Sager and granddaughter Jullene Sager were in Spokane Saturday afternoon to attend the piano recital of their other granddaughter, Hannah Manning, Valleyford. The recital was at the Steinway Auditorium in Spokane Valley.

All of the pieces were duets, many of them performed on two baby grands. The finale, which included Hannah, was eight hands on two grands.

Dick and Helen Appel attended the high school graduation of their granddaughter, Sabrina Appel, in Salem, Ore. Sabrina is the daughter of Phil Appel, Spokane. A family bridal shower for Joanne Wollstein, Lacey, was at the home of her grandparents, Dick and Helen Appel. Joanne will be married July 13 at Mercer Island.

Bill and Tressa Hochstatter, Colfax, stopped at the home of Karen Broeckel Saturday for a short visit. The Hochstatters were on their way to Palouse Falls for the day.
