Grandmother shop fashion show

Thirteen adults and two children modeled garments from the Thrifty Grandmothers inventory Saturday in the first fashion revue at the shop. The show was titled “Get Yo’ Bag” and tote bags with the theme were available for purchase.

The revue also featured a debut of the “Get Yo’ Bag” promotional video for the shop. The three-minute video was shown on a computer screen.

The runway for the revue was along one side of the shop where an aisle had been cleared out.

Proceeds from the event will fund the kids carnival part of the Concrete River Festival which will be the last weekend in July. Diana Frey heads the carnival committee. She and Suzy Krahn of Colfax organized the fundraising event.

Shop proceeds for the day totaled approximately $300, and the grandmothers approved an additional $500 for the project at their Monday meeting.
