Colton girls win districts over Nighthawks, 78-31

The Colton Wildcat girls made it six district tournament championships in a row.

Colton freshman Zoe Moser holds on to a loose ball against Tekoa-Oakesdale in the championship game at Colfax.

Playing in the District 9 1B championship game last Friday, Colton did it with a big win over Tekoa-Oakesdale for the second consecutive year.

Jenna Moser, Zoe Moser and Payton Meyer led the Wildcats, each scoring 10 points.

Colton will now advance to Regionals, starting with a game at Walla Walla High School Friday at 8 p.m. The Wildcats will play the Columbia High School Hunters of Stevens County.

The Colton girls enter Regionals with one loss.

As former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown once said, “There is no one so boring as the undefeated.”
