Selbu Church bazaar set Sunday

The annual Selbu Lutheran Church Christmas Bazaar will be Sunday, Oct., 27, after services and a potluck at the church. There will be some handmade items, decorative items, food, plus lots of goodies for sale to raise money for their missions. All are welcome.

Two weeks ago, Steve and Carol Moore and hospital administrator Debbie Glass attended the annual meeting of the Washington State Hospital Association in Seattle Oct. 9-11.

Saturday, October 13, Kim and Cindy Pitts were in Spokane to watch grandson Rafe Carlson play in a soccer game. They brought grandsons Rafe and Tate home with them to spend the night. Sunday, the boys parents, Amanda and Erik Carlson, came to pick them up.

David and Phyllis Stueckle stayed overnight with their son’s family, Doug and Cheryl Stueckle, in Coeur d’Alene Friday, Oct. 12. They also attended a performance of the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra. Their granddaughter Ashleigh is a member.

Recently, Linda Hennigar, Lola Aune, Ann Emerson, Judy Aune, Peggy Bryan, Terri Koller and Esther Deen treated Verna Stephenson to lunch at Banyon’s Restaurant in Pullman.

Linda Hennigar attended a baby shower at the Harvard, Idaho, community center for Eran Bollen and Stefanie Hatch. Bollen is the grandson of Jack and Marilyn Hennigar. Several family members gathered at a restaurant afterward for dinner.

Last Saturday, Harmon and Jan Smith enjoyed a surprise visit from her cousin, Collette (Walker) and Mike Porter and their grandson Michael Porter.

Recently, Irma Stueckle was guest of honor at an early birthday celebration at Harmon and Jan Smith’s home. Joining her for an afternoon of visiting and reminiscing were her siblings, Leona and Harvey Herman, Dale Culbertson and Shirley Richardson, all of Colfax, and Betty Culbertson of Walla Walla. Irma’s favorite, lemon meringue pie, was served.

Karen Broeckel, Dusty, and Patty and Brett Wieber, Spokane, attended the Best of Broadway performance of “Jersey Boys - The Story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons” last Thursday at the INB Performing Arts Center.

Last Saturday, Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel, Sami and Graham BeDell and Karen Broeckel, Dusty; Cliff and Jeanette Nolan and Greg, Gwen and Jason Nolan, Colfax; Patty and Brett Wieber, Matty Forrest, Andrew Nolan and Taylor Schlenske, Spokane; Tom and Doreen Riedner, Genesee and Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma, gathered at Milford’s Fish House in Spokane for a celebration/thank you dinner.
