Colton's Wildcats perfect in start of league play

Favorites going into the season, Colton’s hardcourt heroes played up to their role, posting a pair of league wins over the past week.

The Wildcats’ one-two punch of point guard Josh Straughan and center Dustin Patchen led the way to an 81-44 blowout of Pomeroy Friday night at home.

Straughan put up a game-high 22 points and added 10 assists, most of which went to Patchen who canned 20 points. Patchen added 12 rebounds, but younger brother Dalton Patchen tallied a game-high 14. Mitch Ruchert had 11 to top the Pirates.
