Colfax girls battle A foes, take league win at Liberty

After knocking heads with two NE-A teams and losing Thursday and Friday, the Colfax Bulldog girls went to Liberty Tuesday and booked their first league win, a 49-11 munch over a young Liberty team which has been taking its lumps this year.

Colfax Coach Cory Baerlocher said the Bulldogs “took the air out of the ball” in the second half when they launched just 16 shots.

“I’ve been on the other side in these situations,” he noted.

The league win came after the Bulldogs battled Lakeside at Nine Mile where they bowed to the Eagles 48-37.
