Chinook, sockeye closures

Sport fishing on sections of the Columbia River closed July 18 because of high catch rates for summer chinook and sockeye salmon. The summer chinook fishery closed just after midnight Sunday downstream from Bonneville Dam under an agreement reached by fishery managers from Washington and Oregon. Sockeye fishing will close at the same time downstream from the Highway 395 bridge at Pasco.
