SJE team tops Garfield trapshoot

Fifteen teams traveled to Garfield Saturday to compete in a trapshoot hosted by the Garfield-Palouse FFA chapter. Garfield-Palouse, Ritzville, Freeman, Pullman, Odessa, Waitsburg, St. John, Kahlotus, and Pomeroy all brought teams. The members of these teams shot 25 clay pigeons from the 16-yard line and another 25 from the 20-yard line for a possible perfect score of 50 points. St. John won, Freeman-one placed second and Freeman-two placed third.

Member of the SJE teams were Jason Heitstuman, Tranis Nieman, Colton Bafus, Davan Bafus and William Knott. Heitstuman; and Colton Bafus were the top individual shooters with a score of 47.
