Eagles take aim at Coulee round

SJE eighth grader Wilson Lundberg works for a pin over Antonio Torres of Davenport in the big league meet Saturday at Liberty.

St. John/Endicott’s young wrestling team will make the trip to Coulee City Saturday in hopes of qualifying at the sub-regional event. The Eagles Saturday competed at the Liberty meet among wrestlers from seven schools. All are also expected to be in the quest Saturday at Coulee City when six will qualify for the regional round next week at Reardan.

Sophomore Thomas Newton had been seeded fourth in the 119 class, and Wilson Lundberg has been seeded seventh and could make it to the regional round as an eighth grader.
