Colfax gridders collect 18 slots on all NE team

Colfax football players were named to 18 of the 25 all-league slots in the all NE first team for 2B division football. Senior Tyler McNannay topped all players by being named to four positions.

McNannay was named all-NE running back, linebacker, punter and kicker.

Tuffy Hickman and Austin Neu, also seniors, and Brent Conrad, a junior, were named to both first team lines.

Kellen Morgan, senior, and Justin Berarducci, junior, were named all NE receivers and defensive backs.

Alex Teade, also a senior, was named all league quarterback and defensive back.

Other first-team players for Colfax were Lonny Ellis, senior, linebacker; and Damon Buck, kickoff returner.

Named to the NE second team from Colfax were Alvin Li, junior running back and linebacker; Buck, receiver and defensive back; and Brandon Heiser, senior, defensive back.

Other first team NE players were Traven Smith and Izzy Valdovinos, LRS seniors, offensive line and linebacker; Micah Brown, LRS senior, and George Cannin, Libery senior, running back; Zach Ellis, LRS senior, defensive line.

Greg Whitmore of Line/Ritzville/Sprague was named all-league coach.

Players names were as follows:

Receivers: Steve Eacker (Sr) Colton, Jeff Zimmer (Sr) LaCrosse-Washtucna

Offensive line: Jay Breithaupt (Sr) Pomeroy, Joe Weber (Sr) Touchet, Zach Reiber (So) Garfield-Palouse

Defensei backs: Jake Hodnefield (Sr) Touchet, Sam Harder (So) LaCrosse-Washtucna, Steve Eacker (Sr) Colton
