Kayla Richter, Tomlinson exchange June wedding vows

Kayla Richter, daughter of Mark and Kathleen Richter of Endicott, and Elijah Tomlinson, son of Kelly Tomlinson of Modesto, Calif., were married Saturday, June 12, on a meadow overlooking the ocean at Otter Rock in a late afternoon ceremony. The Rev. Steve Bretveld from First Baptist Church of Colfax officiated. Decorations included white lawn chairs with navy bows and hot pink flower balls on shepherd hooks lining the aisle.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless, floor length, white gown with a gathered bodice featuring beaded silk flowers. She carried a bouquet of white lilies, pink orchids and various wildflowers.

Maid of honor was Claire Richter, sister of the bride, from Endicott. The bridesmaids were Kendall Young, cousin of the bride; Amanda Hutson, Miranda Moore, Caitlin McGraw and Jenna Irving, all friends of the bride.

Best man was Jim Tomlinson, grandfather of the groom from Modesto, Calif. The groomsmen were Nate Tomlinson, brother of the groom; Robert Oliver, Evan Hutson, Ricky Snyder and Jacob Giffen, friends of the groom.

Junior bridesmaids were Brigitta Naugle, Natalia Naugle and Sabrina Burgess-Garrett, all cousins of the bride. Junior groomsmen were Colson Richter, brother of the bride; Jonah Tomlinson, brother of the groom; and Jeremy Tomlinson, cousin of the groom.

The flower girl was Mackenzie Gonzales, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Jonathan Tomlinson, cousin of the groom.

The bridesmaids wore strapless, tea-length, navy dresses and hot pink wedges.

The reception followed at the event center at the Inn at Ottercrest. The room was decorated with Christmas lights, white and pink paper lanterns, white linen tablecloths, and bouquets of wildflowers on each table.

Kayla graduated from high school in 2006 and attended Simpson University where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She now works at Gap outlet in Anderson, Calif.

Elijah graduated from Hughson High School in 2006 and then attended Simpson University where he received his bachelor’s degree in outdoor leadership. He now works at Lithia Toyota dealership in Redding, Calif. After a honeymoon on the Oregon Coast the couple now resides in Redding.
