Serving Whitman County since 1877

State treasurers elect Lothspeich

Whitman County Treasurer Robert Lothspeich was elected to a second consecutive term as president of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers at the organization’s annual meeting last month in Bellingham. Lothspeich is the third Whitman County treasurer to serve as president of the 105-year-old organization. Mabel Greer helmed the association in 1929 and 1930, and Mary Crawford of Colfax served as president in 1985.

The association works to push or block legislation that impacts treasury departments and acts as a pool of treasury expertise.

Lothspeich is unopposed in his bid for a third full term as Whitman County treasurer.
