Spray trial date set

Spray pleads not guilty in court to murder

Local man arrested for allegedly strangling his estranged wife had his second appearance in court today, Friday, April 5.

During the arraignment hearing today, April 5, Jacob Erik Spray, 36, of Pullman, was read his rights by Judge Douglas Robinson, and confirmed that the charges he faced could mean life in prison.

Spray pled not guilty, and a trial date was set for 9 a.m. on June 3.

Spray faces a charge of murder second-degree, for allegedly killing his estranged wife Jamie Ann Wilson-Spray, 25.

Wilson-Spray was found in a trailer March 26, at Sevdy’s, a trailer park at 605 N.W. Fish St. According to police records, Wilson-Spray had scratches and bruising on her neck.

Whitman County Coroner Annie Pillars confirmed Wilson-Spray, 25, of Pullman was the deceased in a press release on Friday, March 29.
