Van Lith, Druffel peg wins in county games

St. John/Endicott and Colton Tuesday pegged big wins as county baseball resumed after spring break. The Eagles shut out Garfield/Palouse 15-0 at Garfield, and Colton turned back Tekoa/Oakesdale/Rosalia 8-2 on the Wildcats’ field.

At Garfield, Mason Van Lith threw a one-hitter at the Vikings to get the shutout. He struck out eight Vikings.

Ben Harrison doubled and Sam Raynor went 2-2 to lead the Eagles offense. The Eagles also picked up runs off GP errors.

Wilson Allen started for the hosts, and Taylor Christopher relieved in him the third inning.
