Rains swamp McDonald Park

Double bills for Colfax with the Reardan baseball and softball teams were rained out of McDonald Park on Saturday and rained out again on Monday. The Bulldog and Indian teams were booked again to make up the games today, Thursday.

After Thursday, Colfax will have to book a makeup later in the season because they have road trips booked Saturday against the Wildcats of Wilbur/Creston at Wilbur.

Last Thursday, before the rains hit, Colfax boys pegged a 13-1 win over Riverside to stretch the Colfax record to 6-0. Tyler McNannay threw a one-hitter at the Rams to bump his record to 2-0 for the season. Dustin Huber finished in the fifth.

The Bulldogs rapped 17 hits off Ram pitchers. JJ Robertson had three hits with a pair of doubles, and Joe Johnson also had three hits with one double. McNannay had three singles. Sam Mellor and Will Hatley each had two hits with a double.

Colfax scored five runs in the first inning and put it over the 10-run mark with four in the fourth.
