Bulldog run four wins for title: Would LaSalle ever get those 14 points back?

Colfax girls celebrate Saturday night in the Spokane Arena after defeating LaSalle 52-43 to end a four-game run in the state 2B tournament. The girls stacked a 14 point lead in the first quarter and held off the Union Gap team over the last three quarters.

Colfax fans who watched the Bulldog girls break to a 20-6 lead in the first quarter of Saturday’s championship game against LaSalle probably asked themselves that question. For most of the season, Coach Corey Baerlocher’s "wear ‘em down" Bulldogs at some point notched up a lead and once they did the opponents didn’t come back.
