Leonard duo buys Oakesdale store

The former Two Old Hammers store will re-open under new management and a new name. The store has been purchased by Pete and Margaret Leonard of Rosalia and will be called The Country Attic. It will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will dealing in antiques, vintage and thrift.

Oakesdale Museum will host a fundraiser bingo session Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at the museum to raise money for museum maintenance. Anyone having anything to donate to the bingo can contact Dennis Palmer or Wanda Brown.

Fencing is being installed around the new organic yard waste recycling center in Oakesdale. Once the gravel for the road is put down, residents will be able to take their tree limbs and shrub clippings there.
