Rosalia seniors hitch cycle rides

Evelyn Morgan and Wanda Sheahan were given a special treat at the fifth annual motorcycle rally at Rosalia last weekend.

They hopped on the back of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles and cruised downtown Rosalia with members of the Northwest Wings Drill Team.

The drill team performed slow races and choreographed rides on Whitman Avenue Saturday afternoon.

At left is Morgan, 94, with a helmet strapped on in anticipation of her ride.

Morgan hitched a ride on a Harley Davidson at the inaugural rally in 2005, but was given a slightly more comfortable ride on the smooth Gold Wing this time around.

At right, Sheahan, 81, gives a friendly wave to the crowd gathered on Whitman Ave. from her comfy perch behind drill team member Dale Smith of Seattle.
