Crew helps injured farmer with harvest operation

Lamont

Three weeks ago, Pete Swannack was injured when a gear assembly he was working on let go. When it did, it hit a ladder that Pete was standing on. Pete was knocked to the ground and sustained a hole in his lung and three broken ribs. When his wife, Sandy, who is an EMT, saw what had happened, she took him to Sprague and the ambulance drove him to a hospital in Spokane. At this writing, Pete is getting better every day. He has to be careful what he does. Amend Melville is driving the combine for Pete and Sandy and Aaron Spuler are driving the trucks. Pete said he appreciates the efforts of all those who have helped.

Bill and Bonnie Swannack, and Janet Bowman drove to Colfax last Saturday to watch Tommie Sue Swannack complete in the last Palouse River Ropers Rodeo of the year. Tommie Sue received second in both the pole bending and barrel racing.
