COLFAX – The Purpose Roasters building, formerly the location of Arby's, has been purchased by S & L Rentals, owned by Scott and Lori Ackerman. The sale is set to close at the end of July. According to Scott Ackerman, the building will be converted into office space. "It will no longer be a drive thru," he said. COLFAX – Monday night's city council meeting discussed signage that is going up to direct semi traffic away from Fairview Street. Once the “Local Deliveries Only” signage is up, the city will have enforcement options and be able to cite truckers using the road. COLFAX – Work has begun in preparation of new crosswalk signals being installed for four Main Street intersections. City crews are prepping corners at Upton, Stevens, Cooper and Thorn streets for the solar-powered, pedestrian activated crossing signals.
