CDA brings flowers to Main

Dominic Villareal of A Modern Plantsman sets up a street display in Colfax July 6.

COLFAX – The Colfax Downtown Association is half-way through flower plantings as part of a project to beautify Main Street.

"We're planting beautiful flowers on Main Street of Colfax to add some life and beauty to our downtown corridor," said Colfax Downtown Association Executive Director Whitney Bond. "We are all going through a lot right now and could use some more beauty in these unprecedented times."

The project is ongoing this week. Anyone who would like to help is welcome to plant in the red pots found along Main Street sidewalks. All materials are located on Wall Street next to A Modern Plantsman. The project will end when all the planters are filled.

The CDA has partnered with Dreamworks to provide two volunteers to maintain watering of the plantings.
