    PULLMAN – Formal charges were filed this week against Jeshua Frees, 19, Bothell, and Angel Matias, 20, Woodinville for assault in the second degree for intentional harm to Caleb Prophet Jan. 31, 2020. According to the police report, Frees and Matias was arrest, cited and released outside Stubblefields in Pullman Jan. 31.     COLFAX – Paul Potts, 63, Lewiston, was booked into Whitman County Jail May 10 for three charges including hit and run after allegedly hitting The Courtyard and a city crosswalk flag holder and walking away from the scene. According to the arrest report, Whitman County Sheriff's Deputy Bryce Nebe was flagged down by a witness who arrived on scene after hearing the sound of the collision.     OAKESDALE – Seven adults were booked into Whitman County Jail May 17 on a variety of drug charges after Whitman County deputies discovered methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia in an Oakesdale home. On the evening of May 16, deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible drug overdose in the Tekoa area.     ROSALIA – Formal charges of second degree theft and burglary were filed against Ashley Baird, 26, Rosalia. Baird is being charged for unlawfully entering the Red Brick Cafe in early December, 2019, and stealing multiple items, including electronic devices, belonging to the cafe owner.     Joe Reynolds, retired county assessor, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at the Whitman Hospital in Colfax after losing his fight to pancreatic cancer. He was 70. Born August 31, 1949, Joe was the second of four boys born to Jack and Mickey Reynolds in Colfax. In a family of four boys it was always an active household.
