  • Rollover crash south of Palouse

    Megan Beebe, Pullman, was unhurt Feb. 6 in a one-car accident on Highway 27 4.5 miles south of Palouse. According to the Washington State Patrol report, Beebe was driving a 2001 Subaru Legacy southbound at 6:44 p.m. and drifted onto the southbound shoulder of the highway.     Hillary Hoffman has been named to the Colfax Park Board. She has served as a para educator in the Learning Assistance Program at Jennings Elementary for two years and also as a recess aide. The Hoffmans moved here from Millwood two years ago when her husband took a job with the City of Pullman. Their son, Abe, is a second grader at Jennings. Her appointment to the board was announced at the Feb. 5 city council session by Al Vorderbrueggen, park board chairman.     Marcus Johnson was sworn into the Washington State Bar Friday by Whitman County Superior Court Judge Gary Libey. Johnson, who attended Colfax schools, Washington State University and University of Idaho law school, practices law in Boise.     The Rosalia branch of Inland Northwest Bank is now located in the former US Bank on Whitman Street, across the street from where it was located previously. The new site provides more space. Before the move, INB shared a building with an insurance agency and department of licensing. “It just gives us a little more flexibility,” said Jason Miller, director of marketing and culture for INB.
