    RITZVILLE — A Hunter Educational course will be offered Jan. 30-Feb. 2. The classroom portion of the program will take place at the Washington State University Extension Office, 205 W. Main Ave., from 5-8:30 p.m. After completing the nightly class, Hunter Education participants will have range training at the Ritzville Gun Club.     COLTON — Trapshooting in Whitman County began early this month, and the Tekoa Gun Club has already seen its first competition of the new season. The Gun Club is managed by Tekoa High School teacher Ashton Davis, who teaches agriculture education and is an FFA advisor at the school. Practices usually take place on Sundays at 9 a.m., with the Gun Club’s participants being Tekoa students, many of whom competed for the first time in Colton on Jan. 14.     COLFAX — The Lady Bulldogs of Colfax remained atop the Northeast 2B League with a 60-12 win over the Jenkins (Chewelah) Cougars on Jan. 20 and a 57-23 win over the St. George’s Dragons (Spokane) on Jan. 21.     COLFAX — The Whitman County Association of Realtors released the Dec. Housing market numbers, which state that the average price for a home sold in the county last month was about $351,000. Reports state that the average price last month increased by around $35,000 from November, and $25,000 from a year ago. There were only 21 homes sold in the county last month, down 50% from November.     COLFAX—The Port of Whitman County has been awarded a $5 million loan from the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board, which will be used to acquire about 100 acres of land to install an Agriculture Advancement Center.     EWAN – The remains of a human male were uncovered off Gene Webb Rd. near Ewan and Rock Lake by Spokane County Major Crimes detectives, Jan. 15.
