    PALOUSE — The Garfield-Palouse Vikings girls basketball team are a bright, youthful team, who get better with each passing game. This week was no different, as the girls took down two 1B district opponents in dominating fashion. The Vikings defeated the Asotin Panthers by 18, then took down Whitman County opponent, the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves, by 35.     COLBERT – A St. John-Endicott wrestler finished fourth Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Crusader Classic at Northwest Christian. Steven Campbell finished fourth at 175 pounds.     OAKESDALE — A short-handed Oakesdale Nighthawk girls basketball team dominated two games during a chilly week in Whitman County. After a 46-35 victory over the Wellpinit Redskins, and a 50-30 victory over the DeSales Irish, the Nighthawk girls are a perfect 6-0 in district play, good for a tie for first in districts with Sunnyside Christian, who are 7-0.     COLFAX — With seven games left in the regular season of winter sport play, the Colfax Bulldogs boys and girls basketball programs are in prime shape to capture district championships.     COLTON - The Colton Wildcats took on the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves for the second time in two weeks, with the same result occurring as the game before.     ROSALIA - On Tuesday, Jan. 16, Whitman County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call for a single vehicle rollover accident on Pandora Road, west of Waterman Road and east of Rosalia. Deputies arrived on scene where it was determined that the vehicle's driver, Cyndle Sypher, 19, of Latah, was traveling westbound towards Rosalia.
