    COLTON - The Colton Wildcats boys and girls basketball teams hosted a successful Christmas tournament spanning across three days.     TEKOA — Heading into the final game of 2023 with 997 career points, senior Isaac Bone needed just three points to break 1,000 career points for the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves. Bone would surpass the 1,000 point total in the first quarter of the Timberwolves game against the Jenkins (Chewelah) Cougars.     PALOUSE - The Garfield-Palouse girls basketball team improved their overall record to 5-4 on the season after winning two games in a Christmas tournament. They played three games between Wednesday, Dec. 27, Thursday, Dec. 28, and Friday, Dec. 29, with all games in Colton. The first game in the tournament for the Viking girls was played against Potlatch. The Vikings stood tall, earning the 43-35 victory.     COLFAX — As the first half of the 2023-24 season came to an end, the Colfax boys basketball team set their sights on a season for the record books. The calendar reset, with 2024 underway, and the Bulldogs are a perfect 10-0. The team played two games over the holiday break, one against Newport, the other against Rogers. The game against Newport was played on Wednesday, Dec. 27, in Newport, and saw the Bulldogs completely dominate the game, routing Newport 67-18 for a 49-point victory.     COLFAX — The Colfax Bulldogs girls basketball team are back to winning ways after they took down two teams in Spokane over Christmas break to bring life back into the Bulldogs team. The defending 2B state champions took on Timberlake on Wednesday, Dec. 27. The game was played at West Valley High School.     COLFAX — The Colfax wrestling team traveled to Pomeroy to compete in the Christmas Tournament 2023. One Bulldog wrestler took first in his weight class, and three more took bronze in Pomeroy. The Pomeroy wrestling meet took place on Saturday, Dec. 30. Cooper Phillips took first in boys 126 pounds and Ty Scott of Colfax took third at 106 pounds.
