    Next meeting of the Colfax Library Book Club will be Jan. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the Colfax Library. Now is the perfect time to join, as this will be an informal discussion and book review.     Bob, born Francis Robert Simpson, age 67, of St. John, Wash., passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019, after a surprise diagnosis and swift battle with cancer. Bob was raised on the family farm at the north eastern edge of Rock Lake, where the rolling hills of the Palouse give way to quiet meadows nestled between crumbling basalt.     Buddy Lee Gibson was born on October 21, 1933, in Dillsboro, N.C., to Floyd and Willie May Gibson. He was the youngest of three boys, (Doyle, Jaycee and Buddy). Buddy attended grade school in Waynesville, was introduced to the game of golf and became one of the youngest caddies on the golf course. The eldest child of William Ralph Boozer and Mable Stevenson Clayton Boozer, she was raised on the farm outside Rosalia.
