    Figure skating nationals were held Jan. 20 through Jan. 26 in Greensboro, N.C., this year. Performance at nationals literally determines a skater’s career.     I can't think of any previous Super Bowl where I had to Google who was booked for the halftime show. The honor went to Shakira and Jennifer Lopez this year. I'll start off by saying kudos for having two Spanish-speaking singers headlining the show Sunday in Miami, Fla., singing bilingually nonetheless.     Amy Ferguson, 27, Pullman, is the new branch manager at the Albion Library. Ferguson started working as circulation staff at the Colfax Library September of 2019 and was hired as branch manager for Albion this month. She replaces Tim Wang. Ferguson grew up in Pendleton, Ore., and moved to Washington to study biology at the University of Puget Sound. She received a bachelor's degree in 2014.     Mike Leach, Washington State University head coach for eight seasons, has left to be head coach at Mississippi State University. Good riddance. The football coach of any university is often the face of the football program, and more notably, the face of the school. As a recent graduate, I was always embarrassed by our choice of coach.
