Schultheis wins Colton-Uniontown DYW

Three participants receive awards for placement

COLTON-UNIONTOWN-Winner of this year's Colton Uniontown Distinguished Young Woman (DYW) Scholarship went to Kate Schultheis, 16, of Colton.

The Colton Uniontown DYW program started in Sept. 2022, stated Chair of the Colton-Uniontown DYW program, Megan Vinning.

Vinning explained the program was held on Nov. 20, and there were three participants. Kate Schultheis was named DYW, Kyndra Stout won first alternate, and Kaydee Heitstuman was named second alternate.

In first place Schultheis won a $1000 dollar scholarship, for her Scholastic Award, Schultheis won a $150 scholarship, interview award...
