Whitman Heritage presentations and scanning events

COLFAX – During the month of September the Whitman Heritage Digital Collections team will be hosting presentations about Whitman County Library's online digital photo collection. Presentations are open to everyone hosted at four local branches:

Rosalia Branch: Thursday, Sept. 1 Presentation 6:00 PM/ Scanning 4:00-6:00 PM

Oakesdale Branch: Monday, Sept. 12 Presentation 2:00 PM/ Scanning 3:00-5:00 PM

Albion Branch: Thursday, Sept. 15 Presentation 6:00 PM/ Scanning 4:00-6:00 PM

Tekoa Branch: Tuesday, Sept 20 Presentation 4:00 PM/ Scanning 5:00-7:00 PM

Attendees can also schedule an appointment to scan up to 15 of their historically significant photos or documents. The team will digitize the photos to add to the online collection. Photos will return with the owner, as well as a complimentary thumb drive with digital copies.

Whitman Heritage Digital Collections documents the early culture, industry and community life of Whitman County, Washington and locations throughout Washington's Palouse Region. The collection is a project of Whitman County Library and made possible with support and funding from a grant through the Washington State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
