'Bones' retires after nearly 50 years of machinery work

Arrow Machinery, Pape owners gather for party

STEPTOE - A local man who has provided nearly a half-century of service to area farmers and others is retiring.

Don "Bones" McClintok retired from Pape Machinary after working with Arrow Machinery for 40 years and Pape nine.

Pape hosted a retirement party for him last week.

McClintok's connectoins go back decades.

"Bones and I go back 49 years," 96-year-old former owner Joe Henderson said as the party was getting underway. "He started working for me his sophomore year of high school."

Henderson noted the facility was first built in 1974.
