Thrifty Grandmothers offer scholarships

COLFAX – The Colfax Thrifty Grandmothers are awarding $10,000 in 10 scholarships for graduating high school students in Whitman County.

The scholarships are for students attending accredited colleges, universities and vocational schools

There are no restrictions on a student’s course of study or career path, and students pursuing vocational or technical education are encouraged to apply.

“The most serious consideration is given to students who have been active in their communities and plan to be a positive influence wherever they live,” stated a spokesperson. “Successful applicants must demonstrate values of honesty, integrity, a willingness to work hard, and a desire to help others.”

The application deadline is March 31 with forms available at the thrift shop at 118 N. Main in Colfax, high school counselors, online at the Colfax High School’s website, or by emailing gabe@moscow.com.

For more information, contact the Thrifty Grandmothers’ President Christina Thompson at 509-397-2786.
