Off to Wyoming on 19 gallons

Art and Colene Sager vacationed in Cody, Wyoming, from Monday through Saturday. One day was spent in Yellowstone Park, but the remainder of time was spent in Cody with their many attractions. The Buffalo Bill Center of the Northwest is a complex of five different museums: Pioneer History, Plains Indians, Firearms, Western Art, and Animals from the Area. Two days were spent in the museum. The Sagers also attended two different dinner shows: Dan Miller Show with dinner in the historic Irma Hotel and the Cody Cattle Company dinner show. Both had entertaining musicians and very good dinners. Their “home away from home” was an Airbnb. This was a very positive experience and added to their time spent in Cody. They traveled to Cody in their own plane. People often ask about traveling in a general aviation plane. It took less than three hours to travel from the Palouse Country to Cody, Wyoming. With a tail wind traveling east, they burned 19 gallons and paid $4.45 for 100 low lead aviation fuel in Cody. Coming home with a head wind took 25 gallons of fuel.

Brian Broeckel has started harvest. Saturday he took some test samples and cut out some roads through the grain. Monday, harvest started “for real”. His crew started arriving on Friday with John Allyn Murray arriving from Bellingham in his camper. Denise Broeckel Kendall, Tacoma, got here Sunday afternoon. Doreen Broeckel Riedner, Dusty, and Allen Thompson, Lacrosse, complete the crew. They were able to fill three semi-trucks on Monday.

Linda Hennigar spent Thursday through Saturday in Kennewick. Thursday night was spent with Margie Worcester and Friday night with her own daughter and family, Tami, Jay and Wesley Banks. Friday morning, Margie and Hennigar were joined by Ron and Linda Hiskey for breakfast.
