Whitman County primary election counts certified

On Friday, March 20, Whitman County Auditor Sandy Jamison certified the Presidential Primary election counts for the county.

In total, from this election, 11,218 ballots were submitted of the 24,687 registered voters, with a voter turnout of 45.44 percent.

Democratic votes ended with a total of 6,812, with the county leader of Bernie Sanders receiving 3,040 of those votes. Second in the county is Joesph Biden with 2,050 votes and in third, Elizabeth Warren with 727 votes.

Overall in Washington, Joseph Biden won the state primary election receiving 37.9 percent of votes. Bernie Sanders had 3...
