Building up in Q1

County Building Inspector Dan Gladwill presented the first quarter building report for 2018 to county commissioners Monday.

Total valuations were $1.66 million, including $800,000 in commercial development. Total building permits issued were 33 with five permits pending. Total inspections were 77 with final inspections numbering 20.

The total valuation was up from last year's first quarter total of $1.2 million. Whitman County's five-year high is $4.47 million in 2014....
