Colfax fire engine three sold

Colfax Fire Engine Three has been sold for $4,800, Fire Capt. Tim Tingley reported today. The 1980 GMC had been offered for sale on a public surplus internet site and had received a high bid of $3,575 as of the last city council session. Tingley said bidding for the truck became lively as the deadline for the auction approached.

He reported to the city council Tuesday that the truck had sold for $4,000, but a last round of bidding later bumped the sale to $4,800.
