Cloudy skies make for dull, grey days, but spectaular sunset background, reflecting the gold, scarlet and cyan color scheme above St. John Friday. On average, January is supposed to be the coldest month of the year on the Palouse, but forecasts for the rest of the month predict temperatures to remain above or at freezing. Current predictions show a chance of precipiation every day, ranging between 20 and 50 percent.
