Many attend Nampa vows

Graham BeDell of Dusty and Kim Ware of Kuna, Idaho, were married last Tuesday at Still Water Hallow in Nampa, Idaho. Locals who attended the ceremony and reception were his parents, Brian and Angela Broeckel; from Dusty were Tom and Doreen Riedner, Kim and Cindy Pitts and Karen Broeckel; from LaCrosse were former classmates of Graham, Stephen Erickson, who was best man, Joey Guske and Brandon Bennett, groomsman Cole Evans; other LaCrosse residents were Eric and Lois Startin, Dionne Evans and relatives; Denise Kendall of Tacoma, and Graham’s sisters, Alex BeDell of Las Vegas and Sami BeDell of Walla Walla. The newlyweds live in Moscow, Idaho.

Harm and Jan Smith enjoyed family at their home during Thanksgiving break. Gina and Jason Morgan and Micah came from Yakima and Walt and Parker Smith came from Clyde Hill. The boys enjoyed duck hunting and a lot of shop basketball. Parker also visited at Ty Harder’s home where he took a swim retrieving a duck from the water.

Linda Hennigar spent Thanksgiving from Thursday to Saturday at the home of her daughter’s family, Tami, Jay and Wesley Banks of Kennewick. Joining them for Thanksgiving dinner were Jay’s nephew’s family, Kenneth and Mae Banks and daughters, Thea and Kaylie, also of Kennewick.

Joan and Lucky Myrick hosted Thanksgiving dinner for Larry and Di Brink, Tom Phillips, and Mike Stine.

The week prior to Thanksgiving, Karen and Larry Light and Emmaly, Portland, spent the weekend with Karen’s parents, David and Phyllis Stueckle. David and Phyllis had Thanksgiving dinner at Hill-Ray.

Karen Broeckel was an invitee to Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Greg and Gwen Nolan, Colfax. Other guests included Jeanette Nolan, Jason Nolan, Colfax; Pam and Zach Beasley, Waitsburg; Austin Beasley, Moses Lake, and Andrew, Emily and Murphy Nolan, Spokane.

Saturday, Dec. 2, a covey of vendors will be at The Gathering Place in LaCrosse from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to avail shoppers of an early start for their Christmas shopping. A variety of items will be available such as jewelry, hand embroidered goods, stuffed animals, etc. The rodeo group will sell items to raise funds to help with their travel expenses.

Sunday, Dec. 3, Selbu Lutheran Church will hold their Church Fest. Regular worship services will begin at their usual winter hours of 11 a.m. After the services, there will be a potluck dinner, decorating of the church tree and the children will present a Christmas program. All are welcome.
