The LaCrosse Methodist Church will hold its annual Turkey Dinner in the basement of the church Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 5:30 p.m. until the food runs out. The meal is a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Prices are from 11 years and older – $10; 6 to 10 years – $5; younger than five years – free. Immediate family (two adults plus children up to 20) – $25.

Visitors at the home of Leila and Keith Zaring for two weeks were Leila’s sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Bob Bell from Laurel, Miss. Grandson, Henry Zaring, also spent ten days with his grandparents while on leave from his job as an air traffic controller at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. He also worked for Mark Vogler while in the area.

Joan Broeckel spent from Monday through Wednesday last week in the Seattle area visiting her mother, Jean Shippee; sisters, Julie Vanderpol and family, and Joyce Willms and family, and her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Anthony Harkishnani.

Last Friday, Karen Broeckel and sisters Jeanette Nolan and Patty Wieber checked out the first day of the Christmas shopping season at Shop Rejuv on Inland Empire Way in Spokane and then had lunch at Chaps with Carol Kyllo, former Dusty resident, and one of the proprietors of Shop Rejuv.
