SHIBA aid sessions set for 5 locations

Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) volunteers Joyce and Daniel Leonard provide free and impartial information tailored to meet the needs of current and future Medicare recipients. The Leonards have saved local residents thousands of dollars in reviewing their Medicare plans. To receive the best assistance, participants should bring a list of current medications.

Scheduled hours for assistance for library branches are Nov. 2 – Albion 3:30 to 6:30 p.m .; Nov. 9 – Colton 3 to 6 p.m .; Nov. 13 – Garfield 1 to 3 p.m .; Nov. 15 – Colfax 10 a.m. to 2 p.m .; Dec. 1 – Uniontown 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SHIBA is a free, unbiased service of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner and sponsored locally by Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington.
