Thursday, June 22

Rosalia – 10:15 a.m. – Summer Reading Program – Families are invited for fun, learning challenges, games and snacks.

Tekoa – 12 p.m. – Summer Reading Program – Kids will be building a better world through preparedness with the Red Cross. Children will make a pillowcase project and emergency readiness kit in preparation for a natural disaster.

Colfax – 4 to 5 p.m. – Drawing Classes for Kids – Join Molly Rice for a beginners drawing class for kids ages 8 and up. Cost is $15 per day with materials provided. Register ASAP with Ms. Rice at 595-1754 or journeyforward1111@msn.com

Colfax – 6:30 p.m. – Class and a Glass – Wine, Chocolate and Yoga. What more could you ask for? Cost is just $15, including yoga instruction, sweets and refreshments. Please RSVP by calling the library at 397-4366 or Suzy at 397-4709.

Friday, June 23

Uniontown – 10:30 a.m. – Summer Reading Program – Come learn about bridges and how they work. Kids will participate in making plastic bag parachutes to take home and enjoy a snack during story time. Families are welcome.

LaCrosse – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Night – Join the library for a fun, family friendly TRIVIA NIGHT during the LaCrosse Farmers Festival. We will be playing outdoors on Main Street, right next to City Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Saturday, June 24

LaCrosse – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Microsoft Imagine Academy Open House– Stop by the LaCrosse Library during Farm Fest for an opportunity to learn new Microsoft skills from our friendly library staff.

Monday, June 26

Colton – 10:30 a.m. – Summer Reading Program – Children and families join us in learning about elevators and make a small catapult to take home. Snacks included.

Malden Park and Tekoa Empire Theatre – Traveling Lantern Theater – You’re invited to a fantastic, free, family program. Come play interactive games, discover basic building skills, and help design a dream home. These events are shared between the Oakesdale, Tekoa, Malden and St. John communities. Call or visit us online for specific times and details.

Rosalia – 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Outdoor Beginner Vinyasa Flow Yoga - People of all skill levels are invited to explore yoga during this weekly class at the Rosalia Park (near the pool) each Monday, all summer. Just remember a mat or blanket.

Colfax - Schmuck Park – 6 to 7 p.m. – Fitness Boot Camp – It's not too late to get fit for the summer. Join us at Schmuck Park in Colfax. Fitness instructor Carissa Little leads the session and will whip you back into shape with fast results.

Tuesday, June 27

Palouse and Tekoa – Summer Reading Program – Little ones and their adults are invited to “Build a Better World.”

Tekoa – 1:30 to 3 p.m. – Energy Assistance – Community Action Center is providing assistance with home energy bills.

Colfax – 3 to 4 p.m. – Tinker Tech Time – Join us for hands-on STEM time where kids are given the opportunity to control mini robots, build an electronic circuit and construct a LEGO masterpiece.

Colfax – 4 to 5 p.m. – Traveling Lantern Theater – Children of all ages are invited to this active theater experience.

Wednesday, June 28

LaCrosse Park – 10 a.m. – Traveling Lantern Theater – Fun, interactive, children’s theater for LaCrosse and Endicott families.

Garfield and St. John – Summer Reading Program – “Build a Better World” in Garfield at 1:30 p.m. and explore the five senses at 2:30 p.m. in St. John.

Albion – 12 p.m. – Bike Rodeo – Bring your bike, build your skills and learn safety tips by playing games, navigating through a bike course and meeting the Sheriff.

Thursday, June 29

Albion – 5 to 7:30 p.m. - Learn to knit or bring any craft project you are working on. Same time every week.

Whitman County Library’s Summer Reading Program runs from the beginning of June through the end of August. Children, teens and adults are invited to participate for fun and prizes.
