Weekes will join Jennings faculty

Hiring of a new special education teacher for Jennings Elementary School was approved April 10 by the Colfax School District board. Taylor Weekes joins the staff after serving as a long-term substitute for the second/third grade classroom in Endicott. Weekes, who grew up in LaCrosse, graduated from Central Washington University and completed her student teaching last fall. She will teach special education classes now taught by Jason Cooper.

Cooper will move to teach physical education to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. He will take the place of Sue Doering, who will retire in June. Doering will continue to coach the CHS volleyball team next fall.
