Harder duo will mark 50th

Ron and Marilyn Wilkins Harder of Colfax were married in the Goldendale Methodist Church Dec. 3, 1966.

They met while attending Washington State University and were married while he was serving as an Army 2nd Lt.

stationed at Ft.

Knox, Ky.

He then spent a one-year tour of duty flying Army helicopters in Vietnam.

During that year, Marilyn taught home economics at a high school in Portland, Ore.

Following Ron's military service, they moved back to the Palouse in 1970 and actively farmed for the next 30 years.

They built their home in 1979 and raised their three daughters, Carmen (Scott) Langum, Rhonda (Mike) Jeremiah and Alison (Curt) Persons.

They have seven grandchildren and are members of the Colfax United Methodist Church.

They will share an anniversary celebration with their family over Christmas in Spokane and at their Colfax farm home.
