NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS)

Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

Premium Roast, LLC proposes to open a retail marijuana store on an 8.14 acre parcel in the North Pullman-Moscow Corridor District (N-PMC) on the NE corner of SR 270 and Airport Road where Crossroads Nursery was located, in Section 32, Township 15N, Range 46 E.W.M., Whitman County, WA.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

A bio-engineered bank stabilization project on the South Fork of the Palouse River. This project will help stabilize the streambank, stop bank cutting, reduce soil erosion, and re-direct water flow to the thalweg of the river. Approximately 1,000 stream feet of bio-engineered bank protection structures and baffles will be installed throughout an area that is approximately 3,000 stream feet. The location of the project is on Sand Road just west of Bursch Road, in Section 18, Township 14 N., Range 46 E., W. M., Whitman County, Washington.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

Whitman County Planning issued a Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance (M-DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

A clean earth fill on agricultural land. This project will move approximately 250,000 cubic yards of clean topsoil and clay from construction sites to a farm field which will level the field and then be returned to farming. The location of the fill site is on the northeast boundary of the City of Pullman in between the Washington State Department of Transportation’s north bypass right-of-way and the city limits in Section 28, Township 15 N., Range 45 E., W. M., Whitman County, Washington.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.
